I was a little worried about the fit judging by a video I saw online, but with a bit of grease they slid in nicely. Great to see such nicely machined components coming from a Canadian source!
I wish carb plugs came from the factory like this! All said and done it was almost the same price for these as for OEM replacement. And if the orings rot out in 10 years, great I'll just replace them for $0.20 instead of trying to source more stock ones.

I sure was glad that the bearing retainer ring was made from a high grade alloy. My 42 year old wheel needed [persuasion] to get the retainer in all the way and the retainer took the effort quite well. Many thanks for providing this hard-to-find part.
Looks good, seems strong, and fins will help dissipate heat.
Installed this into a 1983 XL250R. Went in perfectly, not loose, not right, just perfect. I used a bit of anti seize and I also used a tool specific to the job and not a punch and a hammer.
Highly recommend this part.
As far as overall quality, I'd say the set of valve covers is very well made. It does brighten up the engine a bit and add a bit of character.
Functionally wise, the fit is prim, very snug and the gaskets swap right over though I do recommend buying new gaskets for older bikes like mine.
I am curious to see what the temp differences will be, with both using a thermal and laser reading to check. I'm sure the added heat dispersion from this and perhaps a spal fan would add up and help tremendously. Which will be my next purchase.
