Installed this into a 1983 XL250R. Went in perfectly, not loose, not right, just perfect. I used a bit of anti seize and I also used a tool specific to the job and not a punch and a hammer.
Highly recommend this part.
As far as overall quality, I'd say the set of valve covers is very well made. It does brighten up the engine a bit and add a bit of character.
Functionally wise, the fit is prim, very snug and the gaskets swap right over though I do recommend buying new gaskets for older bikes like mine.
I am curious to see what the temp differences will be, with both using a thermal and laser reading to check. I'm sure the added heat dispersion from this and perhaps a spal fan would add up and help tremendously. Which will be my next purchase.

I couldn’t find oem replacement parts for my 1986 xr250r. The original knobs disintegrated from ozone due to the fact that they were brittle plastic. The replacement aluminum knobs fit perfectly and look great. Thanks for manufacturing a nice replacement upgrade.
Got these in, installed easily. Absolutely stand out piece. Really good for hot riding, they are beautifully manufactured, none of that “nicecnc” garbage, rode an entire season on them too, they lowered my oil temp by about 5-10 degrees F. They really pop on a freshly painted engine. Happy to support a real Canadian business.

These covers look great and are very precise.
Why better than oem and they look like they should last longer . Once I put these in my carbs it fixed my issue and machine ran like new again.

Bought a couple sets, a couple times. Fit very well. Should last longer than OEM.
Perfect fit, huge upgrade over the original design. Noticeable difference in engine performance. And allows for easy repairs in the future should the o-rings dry up.
